Mummies and Tombs

Worksheet on mummies and tombs: For this subproject, the worksheet includes a text on mummification procedures and the Egyptian’s ideas about death, based on Herodotus’ observations on embalmment. Pupils can examine the arrangement of the burial chamber and concentrate on the various offerings and their functions. They build a model of the burial chamber, write a newspaper article on the obsequies and design a wall newspaper. They then present the results of their work later to the entire class.
